Technical animation,
built from the source.

Commission a complete training or product-animation series, or order a single 30 to 60 second explainer. We work from building requirements, installation guides and technical documents to turn complex information into animation people can actually follow.

Business projects · custom quoted

Animation for your business.

One video explains a topic. A commissioned series builds a training resource. We produce animation series for builders, manufacturers, suppliers, training teams and building-industry organisations - scoped around the source material, technical complexity, number of animations, review process, branding and intended use.

Every series is scoped to your state and the edition of the documents it rests on, built with one consistent visual style and voice across the series, and delivered with a per-video source reference sheet naming what each video was checked against. Business projects are quoted per project: tell us what you're trying to build and we'll come back with a delivery plan and a fixed quote for the whole engagement. No payment until you approve the quote.

Orders of multiple videos are quoted as a series. No payment now. We reply within one business day with a delivery plan and a fixed quote. Series orders are covered by our terms of use.

Building-product manufacturers

Turn your installation guide into something installers can see.

Your technical documentation already contains the information. We turn it into clear step-by-step animation: preparation, sequencing, component placement, fixing, spacing, critical dimensions and installation details, using visuals built around your published instructions. The animation supports your documentation. It does not replace it.

Use the finished content for installer education, product pages, QR codes, toolbox talks, sales presentations, technical training and social media.

Builders & training teams

Give every supervisor the same explanation.

Turn technical requirements, procedures and training material into a consistent animation series for your workforce. Projects can be structured around a nominated standard, an internal training program, a construction process or a defined set of technical requirements. Where CodeCheck writes building content, the nominated source material is checked before animation and source references are supplied with delivery.

How it works

Simple from brief to delivery.

1. Send us the material

A topic, a clause number, an installation guide, a training document or your own script. "Deck attachment" is enough. "HP 12.3.2" is even better. You don't need a perfect brief - tell us what the audience needs to understand and we'll work from there.

2. We scope it

For a business project, we confirm the audience, source material, number of animations, recommended format and a fixed quote before work begins - no payment until you approve it. For a one-off animation, a topic or clause number may be all we need.

3. We script, animate & voice it

Writing the script ourselves? On building topics, the technical measurements, numerical requirements and source references used in the script are checked against the nominated published source before it's animated - that's the whole point of us. On any other topic, we research and write, and you sign off every claim before we build. Supplying your own script? It runs word for word. Voiced by our toolbox talkers, Steve or Emma - your pick.

4. We deliver

Finished MP4 files ready for their agreed use - training, toolbox talks, product pages or your social channels. Standard one-off animations arrive in 24-72 business hours with one consolidated revision round included; business projects follow the delivery plan in their quote.

One-off animations

Need just one?

One video = one topic, explained properly in a 30-60 second animation. One-off videos are ordered one at a time and quoted per video; the quote depends on who writes the script. Orders of multiple videos are quoted as a series: see animation for your business above. Commissioned series, manufacturer projects and training programs are scoped and quoted independently.

We research, write & check it

For building topics: the NCC, Australian Standards and building legislation. You name the rule, or just the topic. We research the nominated source material, write the script, and check the technical measurements, numerical requirements and source references used in the script against the nominated published source.

  • Everything in the Your script package
  • Building compliance only: NCC, Australian Standards, building legislation
  • We find the current provision and write the script
  • Measurements, requirements and references checked against the published source
  • Source references supplied with delivery

Quoted per video in AUD inc GST · paid in full up front (bank transfer or card link) · turnaround is per video from payment + materials received · videos are vertical 1080x1920 MP4s · the finished file is yours to publish on your own channels.

Something outside building? We also consider selected technical and training animation projects outside the building industry. Quoted per topic - ask about your topic.

The documents behind the work

What can we work from?

We work with NCC 2025 and NCC 2022 - Volumes One to Three plus the Housing Provisions - and a growing library of the Australian Standards they reference, including:

NCC 2025 + 2022 · all volumesAS 1684.2 residential timber-framed constructionAS/NZS 3500.1 plumbing & drainage: water servicesAS 3959 buildings in bushfire-prone areasAS 1428.1 design for access & mobilityAS 1288 glass in buildingsAS 1657 platforms, walkways & laddersAS 1670 fire detection & alarm systems+ more on hand - just ask

Installation guides, technical manuals, internal training documents and approved client scripts are welcome too. If we don't hold a document your project needs, you can attach the pages you're licensed to share, or we can discuss sourcing access. The applicable jurisdiction, edition and source material are confirmed for CodeCheck-written building work. For something bigger or bespoke, see animation for your business above, or email info@codecheckaustralia.com.au for a quote.

Request form

Request your animation.

Fill this in and we'll come back to you within one business day with a confirmed quote and delivery date.

A clause number helps, but a plain-English brief is enough. The two things that help most: the exact situation, and what you want viewers to walk away knowing. Writing your own script? Paste the full script here - a live word count appears as you type.
More than one? That's quoted as a series.
Meet the toolbox talkers:

Up to 5 PDFs, 100MB each. Only needed for documents we might not hold, like a paywalled standard - attach just the pages you're licensed to share, plus the cover or title page so we can see the edition. Prefer email? Skip this - you can reply to our confirmation instead.

A genuine rush can raise the quote - it always says why before you pay.

We animate what the code actually says - if the rule doesn't say what you're hoping for, we'll tell you before we build. By sending a script or document, you confirm you have the right to use it. Animation orders are covered by our terms of use.

Prefer Instagram? Just DM @codecheckau. Same humans, same 24-72 hrs.

Questions, answered.

How does the 24-72 hour turnaround work?

The clock starts when we've got your payment and the material we need (your script, your clause/PDF, or your go-ahead on the researched provision). Turnaround is per video. A series is scheduled as a batch and we'll confirm the delivery plan in the quote. Turnaround runs in business days - weekends and public holidays don't count. It applies to videos in our standard format; if your request needs custom treatment, your quote will say so.

What exactly do I get?

A vertical 1080×1920 MP4 (30-60 seconds) with a Steve or Emma voiceover. One consolidated revision round is included; extra rounds are quoted before we do them.

What counts as a revision?

One consolidated round is included: collect your change requests and send them together. Wording tweaks, label changes, timing and voice fixes are revisions. New technical content is not - a different construction arrangement, a new clause, or new material to investigate is a scope change, and we quote it before doing it.

Can I post it as my own content?

Yes. The finished animation is yours to publish on your own channels, use in training, or send to clients. We may also share work we're proud of on our own account unless you ask us not to, or unless your quote sets a different sharing or branding arrangement - where it does, the quote prevails.

What if you don't hold the standard I need?

If it's a paywalled document we don't hold, attach the pages you're licensed to share (plus the cover page, so we can see the edition) right in the request form. If you need us to source access instead, we'll price that into the quote.

Do you only animate rules?

No. Published rules are our specialty: on our-script building orders the measurements, requirements and references used in the script are checked against the published document and the source references ship with the video. On other topics we research and write the script, and you approve every factual claim before we build. We also animate scripts you supply - rules, stories, training content. Those run word for word, carry an on-screen credit naming the script as yours, and the facts stay yours. We may decline content we're not willing to put our name to (see our terms) - declined requests are refunded in full.

What sets the quote for a one-off video?

A one-off quote covers a single video in our standard 30-60 second format, and depends on who writes the script. A quote goes up for a document we need to source, a longer or custom format, or a rush deadline - and the quote always says why before you pay a cent. Multiple videos are a series, quoted per project.

How do payments work?

Paid in full up front once you approve the quote. Bank transfer or a secure card payment link, whichever you prefer; details come with your quote. Quotes are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Is this building advice?

No. Our animations explain published codes in plain language for general information. They're not building, legal or compliance advice. Always confirm the requirements for your specific project with your building surveyor, certifier or relevant authority, including any state variations.
